FUEL (Junior High)

FUEL features several activities throughout the year for our 6th-8th grade students and their families. All FUEL activities are open to any student in 6th-8th grade and friends are always invited.

Eternal Impact

Eternal Impact is designed by our college age students specifically for our middle school students. Four nights of fun, fellowship & faith.  This is a great way for incoming 6th, 7th & 8th graders to start the summer and connect withpowerful messages of God's love!  Tell your friends about it!  Choose two treks to enjoy each night: Sports, Art, Drama, Dance, Cupcake Decorating or Video (counts for two).  It meets for a four nights, June 10-13, from 6-9pm. Summer Ministry

Starting, Wednesday, June 19, incoming middle school students are invited to our summer bible study "Made to Make a Difference".  We will meet each Wednesday from 6:00-7:30pm in the Youth Room downstairs.  Join us for this fun small group time.

Sunday Night Ministry

Our Sunday Night Ministry will resume on September 8th!

Anyone in 6th-8th grade is welcome to attend FUEL. Members from other churches or those who don't have a church find this an inviting ministry opportunity. Friends are always invited.

FUEL meets during the school year from 6:30-8:15 p.m. on Sunday evening. Students arrive at 6:30 for a rockin' worship and Bible message in the new Worship Center (enter Door C) followed by time spent connecting and growing in small groups. Be sure to bring your bible each week. The evening ends with an emphasis on fun and fellowship.

Spiritual Gifts - this semester we will be exploring everyones Spiritual Gifts.  God has created each of us uniquely for his Kingdom.  All of us are wired with specific talents and gifts and we may not even know it!  This past Sunday, during small group time, we took a "Spiritual Gifts Inventory" to learn how God made us! If you missed it, please take a moment and complete this free, on-line test.  It only takes a few minutes. Click here now!

Parents are also encouraged to take the adult version of the "Spiritual Gifts Inventory" along with their students.  Click here now, for the adult version of the quick test.

This ministry partners with parents for the spiritual growth of students. While students are at FUEL, parents join together for fellowship, support and information that promotes raising healthy, successful adolescents. If your student is not yet registered, please download the forms here and send them with your child.

Mission Trip/Workcamp

If you are currently an 8th grade student, consider joining us at Workcamp 2013! Each year 8th-12th grade students take time out of their busy schedules to help others through service projects such as summer workcamp. Workcamp 2013 will be going to Troy, MO on July 21-27.

If you are intersted in going to Workcamp, download the registration form, submit your $100 deposit and commit to making Dodgin'4Dough a success.  

Winter Get-Away

Join in a weekend full of amazing worship, dynamic teaching and a chance to invite friends. We will again head up to Covenant Harbor for Deep Freeze, January 18-20, 2013.  We have over 100 students and leaders heading up to Lake Geneva on Friday.  What a great weekend it will be!

Dodgin'4Dough

Thank you to everyone that participated.  We had 24 middle school teams, our largest number for that tournament, and we had 75 teams in total.  

We appreciate your support and enthusiasm for the event and look forward to another successful tournament in 2014.

FUEL Fun Fridays

FUEL Fun Fridays are an evening to come together and have some fun with other middle school friends. Our Fun Fridays involve games, food and worship. Join us from 7-9 p.m., enter Door D.

FMSC

FUEL students and parents are invited to Feed My Starving Children on Thursday, March 21st.  We will meet at church at 6:15pm, depart for Portillo's at 6:30.  We will then head over to FMSC at 7:30pm to be ready for our packing session from 8-9:30pm.  We will return to church by 10:00pm.  Students and adults must be registered for this event by March 20. 

Worship Leading Team

Students in 6th-8th grade with an interest in music are welcome to join our Worship Leading team. Please let us know if you are interested in joining this ministry.

Soul Detox - Adult Book Study

Parents, come grow in your faith at the same time your students are engaged in FUEL or IGNITE. Craig Groeschell's book, Soul Detox, is the springboard for the topics the students will discuss. Just imagine the dynamic conversations you can have on the way home or at breakfast by investing in this stage of spiritual development for your child! Meet in room 110 at 6:30pm on Sunday's.  Books are available to purchase for $12.

FOUND Retreat

God has FOUND you! Have you FOUND God? The overnight “FOUND” Retreat will be held October 26-27 and is designed by Student Leaders for all students regardless of whether you are currently involved in FUEL. There is time for worship, sharing God experiences, food, games, movies, and music. Don’t miss this huge highlight of the FUEL year. 

Over 89 students joined in this retreat to find out "GP4U", or God's Plan for You based on "I know the plans I have for you says the Lord." Jeremiah 29:11.

Fall Bash - Sunday, Sept 9 6:30-8:15

What a great night! We had over 300 students outside having fun in the tug-o-war mud pit, soapy slip N slide, playing volleyball, roasting marshmallows and more. If you did not get to complete your registration form on this night, please downloadthem now and return to church this Sunday.

This is a night you won't want to miss! Students and parents are invited to the kick-off of our 2012-2013 Student Ministries year. Come and register. Students will connect with those in their grade level. Whether you enjoy, small group games or if you think that messy games are a blast, this Fall Bash is being planned with you in mind.
