Funeral Team Ministry

The Funeral Team Ministry helps families at a time when they may need it most. This ministry allows the family freedom from the details of the Funeral or Memorial service held at Good Shepherd. If you like to work with a team dedicated to making sure the family has a place to gather with friends after the service, then this may be the right fit for you.

A sample of some of the tasks include: provide food, contact volunteers, table set up and take down, arrange table settings, set up the buffet, prepare beverages, tend to the tables and buffet and clean up. The time commitment would be approximately 3-4 hours on the day of the service and possibly an hour or so on the days before the service in order to contact volunteers to serve or provide food.

Your gifts of caring, serving and donating are always welcome in this ministry. You will receive a complete outline of duties, work with the team leaders and other volunteers and expect to have a very fulfilling but busy day!
