IGNITE is Good Shepherd's high school ministry and includes our Faith Walk Journey that leads to confirmation. But that's just the beginning...
Sunday Nights 6:30-8:15pm
Our Sunday Night Ministry as started. Registration forms can be downloaded here. Friends are welcomed and encouraged, just download a registration form for their parent to sign!
Join us on Sunday nights during the school year from 6:30—8:15pm to hang out with friends, play games and chat. Together we will take a look at relevant issues and see how God can be a part of our daily lives.
Student Ministries will next meet on Sunday, January 15th. We will ReConnect as we continue with teachings from Matthew 4:1-11 on the Temptation of Jesus. Hope to see everyone then.
Mission Trip/Workcamp
Workcamp - Each year students take time out of their busy schedules to help others though local and out-of-state projects such as summer workcamp. For Workcamp 2012 we will be going to Greenville, MI from July 22-July 28.

Guatemala - A new international mission experience for mature high school and college age students will be in Guatemala through Hearts in Motion from June 16-24, 2012. Take the time to pray about this opportunity. The International Mission trip applications can be downloaded here. The deadline for application is February 1, 2012.
Dodgin'4Dough
Our fourth annual All City Dodgeball Tournament will took place on January 5-7. We had 77 teams register to play during the weekend. High School students stepped up and support 30 teams! A record number for any age group. Thanks for your support and enthusiasm for this event.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Student Ministries mission trips.
FaithWalk Journey & DELTA
FaithWalk Journey is our 9th graders' time with the pastors before their confirmation. Anyone else who would like to be confirmed can be a part of this journey. Registration for those students interested in being confirmed is on-going. Throughout the year, students and parents meet with the pastors to review catechism teachings and share their faith. These meetings will take place on: September 25, October 9, January 22, February 12 & March 11 starting at 5:00pm.
Delta Retreat took place on November 18-19 and is an integral part of the students FaithWalk Journey. All FaithWalk Journey students needed to plan on attending this exciting retreat. What a great success the weekend was.
Affirmation of Baptism / Confirmation will take place on Saturday, April 14th at 2:00pm.
Winter Get-Away
Each year we offer an opportunity for students to have a fun time in the snow with friends. We are planning our winter retreat the weekend of February 17-19. Registration has started, with final payment & forms due on Sunday, February 5th. We will head to Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva for a weekend of fun, bonding with your peers and a opportunity to come to know and love God more. Download your registration form here.
LIFE Groups
A LIFE Group of high school student leaders meets each week at church from 7-8:30pm in the Youth Room. Let us know if you are interested, or just join in the group.
Another LIFE Group meets on Thursday evenings, starting at 7:00pm. Please contact Student Ministries for further information.

Believing God - Adult Bible Study
Parents, come grow in your faith at the same time your students are engaged in FUEL or IGNITE. Starting Sunday, January 8th from 6:45-8:15pm, join others in viewing a DVD from the humorous, powerful and passionate teacher, Beth Moore. Did you know there is a difference between believing in God and believing God? Walk away believing God is who He says He is and God can do what He says He can do.
Summer IGNITE
Each Wednesday night during the summer High School students gathered to have fun with friends and read a chapter and discuss the Book of Galatians. This ministry will start again in summer 2012.
