Solar Eclipse at the Cornerstone Cafe Monday, August 21

NOTICE: Due to liability reasons, we are unable to distribute/sell Eclipse viewing glasses. You are welcome to bring your own eclipse viewing glasses to the event. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are confident this is the right decision for everyone’s safety.

We are making alternate plans for the event, and we are hoping to be able to show NASA’s live stream of the eclipse on a monitor in the Café. We will post any updates as soon as we can.

Do you have plans yet for the solar eclipse?

Visit Cornerstone Cafe at Good Shepherd Church for Eclipse lunch specials! Invite a friend, and feel free to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to experience the eclipse from our parking lot using your own safe eclipse viewers. Have fun with your Good Shepherd friends to experience this unique opportunity! Let’s pray for a clear day!

* A recent Chicago Tribune article said “Some websites show Naperville’s viewing timeline beginning at 11:53 a.m., with maximum phase at 1:18 p.m.”

* Other safety guidelines from AAS and NASA can be found here:

Cornerstone Cafe will be open our regular hours, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
