Hello! My name is Collin Puckett.
My draw to Good Shepherd came when my wife and I were searching for a community that would not just be a job for me, but for a place that would be a home for us. After lots of time spent in prayer, God directed us to Good Shepherd. We immediately felt welcomed and cared for coming to Good Shepherd. I graduated from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois in 2019, with a Youth Ministry and Theology degree. My goal was to go into youth ministry. Before I came to Good Shepherd, I spent almost 3 years working in full-time camp ministry where I gained a lot of practical experience.
In high school, I felt a specific call for youth ministry. I want to provide a safe space to have fun, present the Gospel, and equip high schoolers to serve as Christ has. I desire students to not just know of scripture, but to deeply understand it. My wife and I met while on a college trip to Israel! We were engaged right before the start of the pandemic and married in January 2021. We value quality time together, and we love to spend our time drinking coffee and finding good books. Our home is slowly becoming a library collection of all of our books.
In my free time, I enjoy hobbies that involve creating. I have a passion for 3D printing and laser engraving. A fun fact about myself is that I'm a huge marvel nerd, especially toward Captain America.
