My wife Jayne and I joined Good Shepherd in 2010. At Good Shepherd, I participate in the Men’s Bible Study, have done mission work with Feed My Starving Children, and served the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. I have also been a House Co-Captain for the Rebuilding Together Aurora group which is sponsored by Good Shepherd.
Jayne and I have three adult children and three grandchildren. Our middle daughter, Julie, was ordained at Good Shepherd and has served as a Lutheran pastor in Eastern Pennsylvania. We live in unsettled and challenging political, social, and economic times. I believe God’s Word must be the rock and foundation of our lives.
At the same time, we must be open to new challenges, new perspectives, and new ways to reach and embrace the local population that has little or no personal relationship with Christ. Church leadership should facilitate this in ways that make sense in today’s ever-changing world.
