Baptism is an important Sacrament and our goal is to encourage, inspire, and partner with you as you invest in this faith journey.
Baptism for Infants and Children
Prior to your child’s Baptism at Good Shepherd, parents or guardians will attend a three-session Blessed Beginnings study. This small group format opportunity will help you better understand the sacrament and learn about the details of your Baptismal worship service. Baptisms dates for children can be requested when you enroll for Blessed Beginnings.
This opportunity will inspire the commitment made by parents to raise their child(ren) to know Jesus Christ as their best friend and Savior. These three weeks will focus on understanding baptism, deepening relationships with God and marriages (or significant relationship), and partnering together with the church through Children’s Ministries. We know that you, as parents, are going to have the strongest impact on your child’s faith, and we’re excited to begin this partnership with you so faith-at-home can be intentional and supported by the church.
Free childcare is available with advance reservations.
We offer Blessed Beginnings four times each year: January, April, July and October. Sessions are once a week for three weeks and can be attended prior to the birth of your child. Session details are as follows:
Small Group study sessions: The 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks of the scheduled month.
Times: Sundays from 12:30-1:30pm or Mondays from 7:00-8:00pm
