357 kids + over 200 leaders = a week of MONUMENTAL excitement! This past week, Good Shepherd hosted Monumental VBS and God moved in MONUMENTAL ways! Every day, leaders and kids shared God Sightings (ways they have experienced God throughout their day), and every day, kids shared how much they loved God, loved their leaders, and loved their family.

One leader drives a neighbor home as the child sings “Our God’s an awesome God, our God’s an awesome God…” all by himself. The leader shared that their family doesn’t attend church, and wasn’t sure that they have ever heard about God. They are hearing it this week, though! God is working in the hearts of kids! Truly an answer to prayer.

Our leaders varied in age from 6th grade to those in their 70s. One leader described juggling a busy schedule with the calling to serve like this: “If God wants me to do it, He will make it work. I was so nervous Monday morning, but I trusted God to let the Holy Spirit lead me. This experience has reminded me, yet again, that God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips the called.”
