Shepherd’s Heart 11/17/23

This week, I had the pleasure of being the emcee for the Exponential conference in Naperville. The conference was held at Yellow Box and the proximity afforded the opportunity for many of our Good Shepherd staff to attend. I was so blessed to be surrounded by our staff and to be able to watch them learn and grow from some of the most talented preachers and teachers in North America. As I have communicated with our staff, our faith development is essential as we collectively work to steward and lead the Good Shepherd mission.

Last week, I invited our congregation to build up and bless our staff through the gift of food. I was overwhelmed with the generosity that we received today at our “Staff Connect.” Diane Braaten provided quiche and coffee cake this morning and we were able to have table fellowship with these wonderful blessings. Having this gifted by a loving member of the congregation meant so much to me and each one of us. Thank you, Diane, for your generosity, and loving on us today. If you would like to sign up to provide food for a staff connect in the future, you may do so HERE!

Next week is one of my favorite weeks of the year. Thanksgiving in my family has always been rich with tradition and memories. I am so excited to add to my family tradition Thanksgiving worship and the “pie thing.” It will be a wonderful night of worship and sharing some of our favorite pies. I look forward to seeing everyone there on Wednesday night at 7:00PM.

From my heart,

Pastor Tara Beth
