Shepherd’s Heart 12/15/23

Dear Ones,

Joy and blessings to each of you in this glorious season of Advent!

Last night, our hearts were filled with the wonder and awe of God’s love as we celebrated our first Encounter Christmas service of the year. It was truly a night to remember, a beautiful tapestry of worship, fellowship, and the powerful story of Jesus’ birth. For those who were there, thank you for being a part of this special evening. And for those who couldn’t join us, worry not, for we have two more opportunities to experience this joyous celebration – tonight at 5:45 PM and again at 7:45 PM. I warmly encourage you to attend and to bring your friends and loved ones to share in this beautiful experience. Encounter Christmas is especially meaningful to me as it was one year ago, at these very services, where the Holy Spirit began stirring in me the idea that maybe I was called to Good Shepherd church afterall. It was the beginning of our exciting journey together, what a year it has been!

This week also brings more exciting news for our congregation. My dear friend, Sean Palmer, will be sharing God’s word in our contemporary services. Sean’s profound insights and engaging delivery are a true blessing, and I am confident that his sermons will enrich and inspire us all. You can read about Sean’s ministry by clicking on this link

In our traditional services, we are equally blessed to witness a new chapter unfolding. Pastor Jake, in his first week of ministry with us at Good Shepherd, will be preaching in the sanctuary. His fresh voice and deep commitment to the Gospel are invigorating our community in wonderful ways. I am eager for all of us to experience the unique gifts he brings to our church family.

As we prepare for Christmas Eve, let us remember that we are offering seven services to celebrate the birth of Jesus. This is a perfect opportunity to extend an invitation to friends, neighbors, and family members who may be looking for a place to celebrate this sacred occasion. Let’s share the joy and love of this season with others, inviting them into our church home to experience the wonder of Christ’s birth.

In this season of anticipation and celebration, let us come together in unity and love, supporting one another and spreading the hope and joy of Jesus Christ to all those around us.

With heartfelt gratitude and Christmas blessings,

Pastor Tara Beth
