Parking Tips Christmas Eve is one of our busiest days of the year at Good Shepherd. Please follow these guidelines to help ensure safety and steady traffic flow in our parking lot.  Be aware of the setup. Signage will be posted for exits and entrances.  Head south as you leave. We recommend that you head Southbound on Shepherd Drive as you EXIT Church. Avoid overflow parking on Shepherd Drive.  If the parking lot is full, please park on Maplefield Road (behind McDonald’s) rather than on Shepherd Drive. This will help with visibility and traffic flow.  Carpool if you can. Stay alert and aware of your surroundings.  Watch for pedestrians as you are looking for a parking space, especially small children who may make sudden, unpredictable moves.

Contemporary Service Sat. 5:05pm, Sun. 9:29am and 11:01am
In the Worship Center, our casual contemporary worship services deliver the message of Jesus Christ in an engaging multi-media format, designed to reach people, no matter where they are in their relationship with Christ. The sermons connect the powerful teachings of Jesus to today’s world. Holy Communion offered every weekend in all contemporary services.

Worship during 9:29 a.m. and 11:01 a.m. Sunday services is led by eleven eleven, a full contemporary Christian band. Their music is a mixture of current praise and worship songs, as well as original compositions.

The Saturday 5:05 p.m. service is similar to the Sunday Worship Center services, but incorporates a more intimate and acoustic feel.

Explore God Chicago January 13 - February 24, 2018
Beginning in January 2018, more than 500 churches in the Chicagoland area will be exploring some tough questions about God, the Bible, suffering, and related topics through a series of sermons and discussion groups. Explore God is a unique effort to encourage people in the greater Chicago area to do just that: explore God. We all wonder, and we all have questions about God. Explore God is an opportunity to explore these big questions in an open and authentic way. The participating ministries will explore some of the most common questions people have about God and faith — questions like, “Is there a God?” “Is the Bible Reliable?” and “Why does God allow pain and suffering?” This unified effort spans multiple denominations and is an open invitation for anyone to participate, regardless of their spiritual background.

Explore God Small Groups

We are forming new small groups in conjunction with this series. Joining a small group is a great way to get connected within the church, meet new people, and discuss your faith questions together.  Now is the time to indicate your interest in joining or leading a small group so that the groups are ready to begin Explore God in January.  For more information on joining a small group or becoming a leader, click here. More details on getting involved here at Good Shepherd will be available soon. For now, check out ExploreGod.com for more information and resources!

Traditional Service Sun. 8:00 and 9:30am
Traditional worship services are held in the Sanctuary. Liturgical readings are delivered by members of the congregation; the pastor shares a message which connects the enduring lessons of Jesus Christ to today's environment. Both service times include prayer requests lifted up together as a congregation. The Sunday 8:00 a.m. service provides a traditional worship service with an intimate feel. The music includes time-honored hymns led by the organ and/or sacred vocal solos. Holy Communion offered every Sunday. The Sunday 9:30 a.m. service features music typically led by the organ and includes the Festival Choir most of the year singing a wide range of sacred music. The 9:30 a.m. service offers Holy Communion every Sunday.
