New! One Step Forward | Church-Wide 12-Month Goal

Overview of DNA

We recently completed a six-week sermon series called DNA. In this sermon series, leaders from our Vision Team taught on the six outcomes that answer “Who has Christ called us to be?” and “What makes up the foundation of our Christian identity?”.

Since April 2021, leaders in our church have had their eyes set on where God is leading us next. We embrace our new mission statement: “Inviting everyone to walk together in the calling of Christ for a life of eternal impact.”

Additionally, we embrace the six outcomes that describe who we are when we live out this mission: God Pursuer, Stronghold Breaker, Gift User, Relationship Builder, Faith Sharer, and Generous Giver. We believe that these six outcomes are the fruit of walking in the calling of Christ. These outcomes are not what we simply do, but who we are as followers of Jesus.

Where We’re Headed

As our Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor Call Teams have been at work in prayer, preparation, and discernment, we know that God is at work in the big and small details. We embrace this season with humility, expectancy, and grace. We believe it is important for our church to work together in living out the calling of Christ as we prepare for the next chapter of ministry at Good Shepherd.

Over the next 12 months, we would like to set our sights on a new goal together as a church! We officially are launching One Step Forward.

We pray that everyone who calls Good Shepherd their church home can take one step forward in the calling of Christ. Over the next 12 months, Good Shepherd commits to supporting, equipping, and walking with our congregation to take one step forward

Mission Outcomes Self-Assessment

Our church leaders have been hard at work in developing a self-assessment and resources for our congregation. We wholeheartedly acknowledge that we are all a work in progress and are walking together in the journey of faith. Transformation in and through our lives is made possible by Jesus!

The Mission Outcomes Self-Assessment has been designed to be used as a tool for you to take and assess which Mission Outcome is a personal area of growth and discovery.

Additionally, Good Shepherd has prepared a Resource Guide for each Mission Outcome to help you take one step forward.
