Hello Good Shepherd family! We’re excited that the State of Illinois will enter Phase 5 on Friday, June 11. Please note the following:
Worship Services. Registration is no longer required for in-person worship services. Please invite friends, family, and neighbors to worship with us!
In-Person Service Times:
Contemporary 10:29am CDT
For those who prefer, all services will continue to offer an area of seats designated “masks required” with appropriate social distancing. Those who are fully vaccinated are welcome to join us mask-free, and for those who are not vaccinated, all services will offer an area of seats designated “masks required” with appropriate social distancing.
Sunday Children’s Ministries. In advance, please continue to make a reservation for your children ages birth – 3rd grade to participate in Sparks on Sundays. This includes FUSION children with special needs. Registration will help us to plan for leaders and other resources during worship services. Thank you for your cooperation.
Weekday Summer Office Hours. Starting Monday, June 14, the front office will be open from 9am – 1pm, Monday – Thursday. At a later date, we will announce availability for facility use by ministries and expanded building hours. We thank our entire congregation, staff and Church Council for your efforts, support and patience as we have navigated the past year and a half. Today, we’re delighted to say…See you soon at 1310 Shepherd Drive!
Please join us on Sundays for our services online or in-person. We’re all in this together!
We continue to pray for you Church family! The Re-opening team meets weekly and includes members of staff, council and the congregation. We are carefully putting processes in place, making the health and safety of our guests the top priority.
GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES. We are using public health guidance, metrics, and recommendations to lead our Re-opening discussions and to advise our teams to execute plans.
FLEXIBILITY. Please be advised that as the COVID-19 pandemic is a fluid situation. Dates and plans may have to change according to government guidelines or situations in our community.
MINISTRIES. Even though the building may reopen, please note that not all ministries will resume at the same time. The Cornerstone Café is open on Sundays only until further notice.
COMMUNICATIONS. We are committed to keeping the congregation informed, so please make sure to check our website for updates. We will post updates regarding our plan as they become available.
If you would like more information, feel free to reach out to the committee at: email@example.com.
A hearty thank you to the reopening team for all their work to ensure a safe and orderly gradual reopening of our building, and to you all for your faithful service and leadership!
Though we are, at times, physically apart, God is using this time to challenge, shape and connect us in new ways, as well as to reach even more people with the Gospel. Thank you for your partnership and prayers as we adjust to the new normal.
